The reason i chose this TOC is because it makes the article seem like it will be based on technology which is a huge part of my magazine due to some article will be based on Esports, a new and upcoming sport that has to do with playing video games professionally. Due to this a technology look for the magazine would fit the theme for these articles and even the cover that also had a Esports stadium look with technology shown with in in. The reason i chose this TOC is because although it does not have a specific theme, it is very well organized and can be edited to be given a sports theme due to the magazine being based on all sports in general. It also connects both pages of the contents together which i feel is a very good touch towards a TOC. It does not exactly fit the theme of the cover page, however, as stated prior it can be edited to do that. The reason i chose this TOC is because it is very basic and for my TOC it might be better to go simple rather then complicated and confusing. This TOC also has preset red text and icons that would fit my cover that also has red text and icons. This would be a good transition from both pages and can be a continuing theme of my magazine if so chosen TOC LIST
Items that will be on my TOC are gonna be sports and esports related. Specific and main focused on ones are, Esports, NBA News, Covid 19, and Hall of famers. The sub topic of these are the CDL and CSGO, for Esports, Power rankings for the NBA news, Play or go home for Covid 19 which is a big question that is currently being spoken about, and Controversies for Hall of famers where they are either denied or not unanimous.

Camerawork- There was a variety of different Camera shots during this video. Some examples of the camera shots I found were the Medium shot showing what the wife and husband were doing at separate occasions, Long shot used to show both actors downstairs and the background of the scenery down there, over the shoulder shot in many different situations such as when: Wife walked down in the basement camera was shown over husbands shoulder, Husband with hammer in hand shown over wife's shoulder, and after the murder as he struck her repeatedly with hammer, extreme closeup with hammers, and over the top as husband grabbed gun on the top shelf. Sound- The sounds varied over different portions of this video. In the beginning the Silent enough so you can hear footsteps and other sounds that is not specifically focused on which makes it feel more immersive. Other sounds occurring as it was quiet included sounds such as him loading up the gun, hitting the phone against the wall as well as picking up the phone and opening and closing the doors. Sounds when it wasn’t silent consisted of ambience sounds and different background sounds such as when dramatic murder takes place and the phone call. Mise en scene- The mise en scene that took place in this video had a variety of different example that could be pointed out. These included certain aspects such as the Husband with injured nose and baggy eyes showing distress, Basement had background of tools and posters that were being focused on throughout certain frames showing what he was focused on during confrontation with his wife. As he struck his you can see him panicked as his wife eyes light up and then switches back to himself which showed his lips quiver and mouth drop and eyes become surprised. Actors and camera shots were also placed in certain positions to show background attributes to the scene such as after the murder showing the washing machine which started the argument and then when he was on the phone it showed all POVS around him to show his house which seems homely which. Editing- The editing that took place during this video mostly consisted of raw editing and few transitions, however, they used zoom effects on things such as the poster, hammer, and wife's bloody face. There was also track movement which followed the husband as he walked around the basement towards his tools. Transitions, however, rarely used, were shown in some scenes such as when the closet door opened and closed as he was practicing what he was going to say in the mirror. Write Up compare and contrast The write ups of the scene's are both very similar content wise. The Cambridge response focuses on lighting and aspects of the south and background which i made a great focus on as well both responses focusing on the facial expressions of the actors throughout the scene. Both also take a focus on the washing machine and ties it into other ideas and parts of the scene, however had different ideas with it. The big difference between these two responses however is the organization. The Cambridge response is organized much differently and starts off speaking of the beginning scenes and gradually progresses on with how the story went. My response, rather, instead of organizing it into scenes and talking about the Sound, Mise en scene, camera work and editing, as it progressed in the scene, instead broke it up into different sections and spoke about them individually and spoke on what scene it occurred in specifically. This although might not be a problem however should possibly be changed to a different format depending on teachers response. Other than that, both responses both responses have really good content, and context with it. Notes Camerawork found- Medium shot showing spouses, Long shot showing both actors downstairs, over the shoulder shot showing Wife walking down in the basement and camera above husbands' shoulder, Husband with hammer in hand shown over wife's shoulder, and after the murder, extreme closeup with hammers, over the top showing husband grab gun. Sound- Silent beginning so you can hear footsteps and other sounds, feels more immersive Other sounds occurring as it was quiet included the gun, phone against the wall, and other doors. Sounds when it was not silent consisted of ambience sounds and background sounds. Mise en scene- Husband has injured nose and baggy eyes, Basement had background of tools and posters that are focused on showing attention, Husband panicked after murder showing his lips quiver, mouth drop, and eyes widen. Actors and camera shots show background attributes to the scene such as washing machine. Editing- The editing's consisting of raw editing and few transitions. zoom effects used on things such as the poster, hammer, and wife's face. Track movement used which followed the husband as he walks around the basement. Transitions, shown in some scenes such as when the closet door opening and closing as he practices murder quotes. Notes compare and contrast The notes, alike the write up, both have very similar content and similarities in what is being noted down and why it is being written down. Both are also formatted the same and separated so it is very organized and easy to find what has been written. The main difference between the two however, is how they are explained and the context given. In the candidate response the notes made are very vague and have no real time stamp on when it occurred, on the other hand, my responses give slight context on what was occurring and when it could've been occurring so it would be easier to right about when doing the write up. Although this makes it seem like my response could have been better, this was most likely due to the worrying of time management during the real exam and the possibility of stress and pressure during it. This shows that i should possibly not take and use so much time dissecting each scene into my notes and rather jot down points so i can write down as much information as possible. The title and masthead of my magazine literally seems to mean that the article will be on the topic of sports as well as that was is shown in the article will contain bias ideas on them. Instead, it only suggests that the article will be my opinion and I will be sharing them throughout the article.
The mood and attitude suggested by the cover is that it will be an informative and straight to the point article with a variety of topics that will be talked about and opinions given on them. The size of the letters also signifies importance in what will be talked about and show the main talking points and subtopic points within them. For my cover I have selected a Esports player that goes by the name of Clayster who a multi-title champion is as well as a world champion. In the background of him is a sports stadium which immediately shows that this will be about different types of sports then just the popular known ones such as basketball or football, which will still be discussed in this article. These are both posed in the center for the article to catch the reader's attention by the bright stadiums background, and the influential figure in front of it that is positioned in front of everything. The strapline for this article is “In a new age” which suggests that this article will be discussing sports and how it has changed from what it used to be. This idea was mainly due to Covid, but this can also be matched with E-Sports since it is new to the sporting world and is still being debated on whether it is truly a sport. One rhetorical device I used was alliteration which was done in the title which is Bryans Bias. This way the title is catchy and memorable for the audience. Intertextuality is the interrelationship between texts, especially works of literature; the way that similar or related texts influence, reflect, or differ from each other. Intertextuality and intertextual relationships can be separated into three types: obligatory, optional and accidental. Obligatory intertextuality is when the writer purposefully invokes a comparison between two types of text. Optional intertextuality is when the text has a less vital impact on the significance of the hypertext. and lastly, Accidental intertextuality is when readers connect two different texts with a certain cultural practice or personal experience, without there being any direct correlation within the original text. This Family guy scene is an example of intertextuality because it is directly referencing a funeral that occurred in Star Trek for their comrade Spock while in family guy it is a hypothetical situation for Stewie’s friend Rubert based on him being kidnapped. This family guy scene is an example of intertextuality because it is referencing the original 12 angry men where in both scenes it is based on a jury having to decide wether a defendant is guilty or not guilty in which one singular member of the jury has a reasonable doubt that continues the debate. This scene from family guy is an example of intertextuality because it is referencing a scene by north by northwest where the main character is being chased by a plane and has to jump down in an attempt to avoid it. This id directly replicated by the scene in family guy where peter does the exact same motions while too being chased by a plane exactly like the one from north by northwest.
